Having lived in Walnut Ridge most of his life, he was a rural mail carrier, owned his own trucking business and was a retired security guard at Riceland Foods. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Old Walnut Ridge Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Caleb Sidney and Mary Susan Killcrease Dillport; sisters, Erna Mae Saylors and Marjorie Pederson; and brother, Mack Dillport.
Survivors include daughter, Karen McAlister of Jonesboro; sons, Caleb Sidney "Bud" Dillport of Paragould, Jimmy Mac Don Dillport of Cabot and Patrick Byron Dillport of Paragould; two sisters, Regina Backmann of Pocahontas and Hassel Shondell of Napoleon, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge with Steve Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 5:30-8 p.m. Monday
