Mr. Wolfe, 64, died of cancer Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at his home.
He was born in Cary on Nov. 10, 1944, to Samuel David and Hazel Beatrice Wrenn Wolfe and resided in Itta Bena for the last 25 years. He attended Vine Life Fellowship Church in Greenwood and was employed with C&C Auto. He was a big Nascar fan and loved working on trucks.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Beatrice Wrenn Wolfe;father, Samuel David Wolfe; and two brothers, Arthur Wayne Wolfe and Toby Wolfe.
Mr. Wolfe is survived by three sisters, Ada Bell Sandidge (Edward) of Biloxi, Ola Mae Lunsford (James) of Morgan, Texas, Mary Lee Evans (Carl) of Hattiesburg, and three brothers, Richard Joseph Wolfe of Shaw, Jody Wolfe (JoAnn) of Walls, and Jerome Wolfe (Dottie) of Mathiston,and a Sister-in-law, Rita Wolfe of Texas, and a host of neices, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday Oct 11 2009 at Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood.
The Rev. Dennis McKay will officiate at the services. Pallbearers were J.J. Harris, Cody Harris, Richard Jones, Bryan Bollis, Grady Collett, and David Carpenter. Honorary pallbearers will be Perry Moore, Stacey Pepper and Jeremiah Fratesi.
Burial was in Stoneville Cemetery in Leland on Oct. 12, 2009.
Even in Geralds time of having cancer he still managed to find it in his heart to smile. All of his family and friends will always remember that smile that he kept on his face and those eyes that sparkled.
