Charlotte was the oldest of 6 children, born to William and Mary A COBURN in Nova Scotia.

She immigrated with her family to Michigan in about 1846 and settled in Kalamazoo County area.

Charlotte COBURN married married Nathanial REED on 29 May 1866 in Paw Paw, Van Buren Co., Michigan.
They had four children:
Willis A REED (1867-?),
Minnie E REED (1871-before 1900)
Claude Alva REED (1878-1949)
Mary A REED Stiverson (1883-1941).
