From the North Branch Review:
(Friday July 19, 1901) North Branch Briefs -
C. E. Ledin while here yesterday took occasion to remark that all crops out in his part of the country were standing up under the heat splendidly, and he felt sure of a large yield in all grains. Corn, too, was coming right along, and by cultivation potatoes would secure all the moisture needed. Rye and hay were crops already secured.

(Friday October 20, 1905) -
C. E. Ledin, Sr. of North Branch town, was in town last week, and while here he set up a fine granite monument for Sheriff E. F. Gillespie. Mr. Ledin is agent for the Center City Monumental works and he has placed several new monuments in the cemeteries in this vicinity this season. If you want anything in this line you can do no better than consult Mr. Ledin. - Cambridge Independent
(Note: It appears that this article was originally from a Cambridge newspaper, thus probably in reference to work done in Cambridge. This appeared in a section of the North Branch Review called "North Branch Briefs" which frequently included short advertisements thinly disguised and presented as news. He probably paid a small fee to have this printed there. Mr. Ledin's address "of North Branch town" may refer to the North Branch Township in Isanti County, not the Chisago County community of North Branch.)
