Cyrus Newberry, 78, died at his home Saturday at 6:50a.m. He resided on Route 1, Stonewall. Funeral services will be held at the Stonewall Pentecostal Church at a time to be announced later, burial will be at Wewoka, Smith Funeral Home in charge. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Laura Newberry, a daughter, Mrs. Lillie Cluck, Wewoka, five sons, Fred of Chickasha, Elmer of Alln, Frank of Stonewall, Charlie of Brentwood, CA and Jack Newberry of Tulsa; 33 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mr. Newberry was born in Wisconsin, he had been at his recent address eight years 1942. He married Laura Jane Sandefur, daughter of John Sandefur and Sarah Butler. She was born 31 March 1976 in Missouri, and died 13 Feb. 1958 in Wewoka, Seminole Cty, Oklahoma. Funeral servcies for Cyrus Newberry were held Thursday at 2:00pm from the Pentecostal church in Harden City; Rev. L.L. Chilcoat officiating; burial in Wewoka Cemetery, Smith Funeral home in charge.
