Joseph William (Billy) Gindl, Sr. passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009. He was born on July 23, 1938. He was a lifelong resident of Barrineau Park, FL and a retired farmer. He served 20 years as a director of Escambia County Farm Bureau and served 8 years in the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Pauline Gindl; and his brother, Carl Gindl. He is survived by his wife, Jayne Gindl; son, Joey and wife, Jodie; daughter, Tammy Adams and husband, Brian; daughter, Sherri Mims and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Brian Matthew and Michael Adams and Bradley and Ryan Mims; brothers, Francis (Pauline) Gindl, Peter (Sue) Gindl; sisters, Dorothy (Charles) Casey, Mary Ann (Dick) Pembrook, Mildred Anderson; all of their families and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at Faith Chapel North on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009. The rosary prayer will begin at 4:30 p.m. and visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, October 3rd, 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Barrineau Park. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pall Bearers are grandsons, Brian Matthew and Michael Adams, Bradley and Ryan Mims, and sons-in-law, Brain Adams and Bill Mims.
Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 Highway 29 South Cantonment is in charge of arrangements.
