SHAMROCK - Charles Gragg, 82, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with Mark Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors.

Charles Gragg was born May 25, 1927, in Shamrock to Dola and Caroline Edgett Gragg. Growing up, Charles worked for Gragg Dairy. He started Tri-City boxing, which was an affiliate of Golden Gloves. He was a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church for several years and also drove the bus for Shamrock Athletic Department for several years. Charles was Oklahoma City meat inspector for the Health Department of Oklahoma and he was the county health inspector for Wheeler County for 17 years. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge and served in the U.S. Merchant Marine from 1945 to 1947.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Moore, in 2004.

Survivors include two sons, Ricky Don Gragg and Ronald Gragg, both of Shamrock; a daughter, Dianne Reynolds of Shamrock; the mother of his children, Joyce Gragg; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
