According to the media, Srrody was one of the more intense of the cult's members. In the early 1990s he underwent a botched castration undertaken by one of the group members (Julie Lamontagne ), both Srrody and surviving member Sawyer insisted on being castrated in order to prevent the body from feeling sexual desires. He was eventually surgically castrated properly.
