Anna Jean "Jean" Dickey 89, of Cogan Station, died Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Sycamore Manor, Williamsport.

Her husband, Clair I. Dickey, Jr., died January 4, 2004.

Born November 7, 1924 in Cogan Station, she was a daughter of the late Edward L. and Grace Ethel (Dauber) Hornberger.

Prior to her retirement Jean was employed as a supervisor for the former Weldon Manufacturing.

She was an active member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Quiggleville holding many offices within the church. She was a member of Women of the E.L.C.A. at the church.

Jean enjoyed quilting at St. Michael's, gardening, bowling, and playing dominoes.
At the age of 80 Jean traveled to Africa with her sister, Regina, on a six week church mission.

She was a life member of the Hepburn Township Fire Co. Auxiliary.
Jean enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grand children's activities and sporting events.

Surviving are five children; Barbara A. Most, of Trout Run, Sandra J. (Steven) Barnes, of Linden, Becky M. (Michael) Hedgcock, of Laporte, PA, Denise I. (Keith) Stryker, and Drew E. (Jennifer) Dickey, both of Cogan Station, eighteen grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, two brothers; Edward J. Hornberger, and Clyde "Sandy" (Ruth) Hornberger, both of Cogan Station; four sisters, Marian Webster and Mildred (Bruce) Bartley, both of Cogan Station, Regina Gross and Carol Eckert, both of Williamsport.

She was preceded in death by a son Douglas C. Dickey and a sister Josephine Bower.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 1 PM at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 1877 St. Michaels Road, Cogan Station, PA. Interment will be in the adjoining St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10 – 1 pm at St. Michael's Lutheran Church.
