Lonnie, was a lifelong resident of Ashland City, Tennessee.
He was a 1982 graduate of Cheatham County Central High School. Lonnie, continued his education by graduating from College with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1986 from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee.
In 1980, Lonnie was Baptized and he entrusted his life to the Lord. He loved studying and discussing the bible, Lonnie really loved the Lord.
On August 6, 1994 he married Harriet Glover. Lonnie and Hariet had three children; Kessler, Kennedi and Kendall. He loved his life as a Husband and Father.
Lonnie, was very active and dedicated to the youth of Ashland City coaching youth T. Ball and Baseball. He coached 4th, 5th, and 6th grade boys as well as 5th and 6th grade girl's basketball. He also was the Association Representative for six years.
On Friday, September 25, 2009 Lonnie passed away at his home in Chapmansboro, Tennessee from a heart attack at the age of 45 years old.
Not only dose Lonnie leave behind his Wife and Children; he also leaves behind a host of family and friends. Lonnie had three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation with the Bell family was on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, from 5pm to 7pm at The Cheatham County Funeral Home.
Funeral service was on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 12pm at The Cheatham County Funeral Home with Reverend Julius Gallon, Officiating.
Pallbearers were; Lee Boyte, Robert Briggs, Ronnie Daniels, Donald Johnson, Darryl Lovell, Melvin Smith, Mike Vacek, and Andy Wikinson.
Burial followed at 2pm in The Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery; in Dickson County Tennessee.
