"THE PARIS NEWS", Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 PAGE 3 - Ruby Lee Chambliss Francis died Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, in Garland. A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, at Restland Memorial Chapel in Dallas. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Paris.

Ruby Lee Chambliss Francis was born Nov. 5, 1922, in Paris, to John Earl Chambliss and Robertie Lucille Allen. She was reared by her maternal grandparents, Joel Wesley Allen and Annie Eliza Hunter.

Ruby was many things — a devoted wife, wonderful mother, generous grandmother, special great grandmother, loving aunt and dear friend. She graduated from East Texas State University with a B.S. and M.L.S. and was employed as a teacher and librarian by Dallas ISD for 33 years. She will be missed by her family and friends and will forever hold a place of honor and endearment in their hearts and memories.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Albert Francis; and daughter, Ruby Irene Francis.

Survivors include her daughter, Nelda Landrum; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many other nieces and nephews.
