George William "Bill" Abbott, 68, of East Ridge, TN passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in a local hospital. He was a member of Calvary Memorial Baptist Church.
Bill was retired from the U.S. Air Force and from Chattanooga State College as an HVAC Instructor.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Abbott; step-son, David Stephenson and his wife, Cathy; grandson, Christopher Delabano of Dallas, TX; one brother, Lebron Madaris and his wife, Janice of Ringgold, GA; several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. David Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-6 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Kindred Hospital and Hospice of Chattanooga, TN for their excellent care of Bill.
