Charles A. Alford

Charles A. Alford, 90, 120 N. 23rd Ave. Ct., died Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Eventide Nursing Home of Greeley.

He was born Aug. 24, 1886 at Loveland.

On Sept. 20, 1911, he married Ollie Lorah at Fort Collins. She died Nov. 2, 1967.

He farmed in the Loveland-Fort Collins area before moving to the Eaton-Ault area in 1917, where he farmed until 1940. He came to Greeley and worked for the Greeley Flour Mill in 1940.

Survivors include two sons, Charles L. of Greeley and John H. of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Gover of Colorado Springs and Mrs. Buryl Dwinell of Loveland; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in state at Adamson Mortuary until noon Thursday.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
