Mr. Abrams died July 9 in Atlanta. Born Sept. 22, 1956, in Thomas County, he was a son of the late Glenn R. Abrams Sr. and the late Mabel G. Abrams. He was a 1975 graduate of Central High School and a 1977 graduate of Southwest Georgia Technical School in Americus. He was a machine operator for 27 years with Georgia Industry for the Blind.
Survivors include a son, Jordan Alexander Abrams IV and his mother, Eddie Mae Abrams both of Bainbridge; stepdaughter, Katrina Freeman and her husband, James of Pelham; stepson, William Harrison of Bainbridge; stepmother, Ethel Abrams of Boston; brothers, Glenn Abrams Jr. of Boston, Thomas Abrams and his wife, Jerrylean of Bainbridge, Allan Hudson and his wife, Marie of Colorado Springs, Colo., Gary Hudson and his wife, Karen of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Brenda A. Hudson of Athens, Lashondra Bryant of Atlanta, Alice Green and her husband, Johnny of Jessup, Md.; two aunts, Louise Cooney of Boston, Johnny Mae Abrams of Thomasville; two uncles, the Rev. John Gloster and his wife, Rubye of Thomasville, James Gloster and his wife, Betty of Philadelphia, Pa.; three great-uncles, Lawrence Abrams and his wife, Joesella of Yellow Springs, Ohio, Thomas L. Washington Sr. of Thomasville, William Gloster of Boston; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers, extended family and friends.
