Robert Lee Corban, 55, of 4645 Kinkaid Rd. died Friday. He was a native of Oak Grove, LA and resident of Jacksonville since 1966. He was retired from the US Navy and a veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife, Mary Corban; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Joey Howell;
2 sons and 1 daughter-in-law, Danny Corban, Terry & Sandra Corban, all of Jacksonville; 7 sisters, Lucille Ziegler, Eleanor Tallarico, Ernestine Seale, all of Gloster, Miss., Hazel Foster, Natchez, Miss., Nina Sterline, Centreville, Miss., Patsy Helmly, Maxey, Ga. and Nell Bennett, Santa, Calif.; 4 brothers, John Corban, Rosselle, N.J., Alton Corban, Baker, LA, Lucian & Joel Corban, both of Santa Ana, Calif.; and 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Giddens-Griffith Edgewood Chapel with Rev. J. J. Heinzman and Chaplain Norvelle Knight officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Memorial Park with military honors at the graveside.

NOTE: Originally buried at Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville, FL and later moved to Roseland Cemetery, Gloster, MS.
