J. Wilmer Bair was born in Glenville, Pa., and died in the Walter Reed Hospital, Washington, D.C., September 25, 1934.
He became seriously ill while employed by a motor company in Hanover, Pa. He spent some time at the home of his father and sister in Glenville, hoping to regain his health but grew worse, and having been a World War veteran, and having served overseas, he was removed to the government hospital in Washington and there died.
Mr. Bair had been a member of St. Jacob's (Stone) Reformed Church for a number of years.
The funeral services were held from the home of his father, Mr. Jacob S. Bair, Glenville, Pa., Saturday, September 29, 1934. Further services were held in St. Jacob's (Stone) Reformed Church where the pastor preached on the text: Eccl. 8:8. He was assisted by Rev. Joseph D. Krout of New Jersey and Rev. Jacobs, of York, Pa., relatives of the deceased. Burial was made in the new cemetery.
