Lt. Col. (Ret.) William "Bill" K. Sebert, Jr., passed away August 29, 2009, born March 25, 1936 in Clifton Forge, VA to Marguerite Fisher and William K. Sebert, Sr. Bill grew up in Lewisburg, W. VA, graduating high school in 1954. He attended WVU and WV Tech, where he received a degree in civil engineering. Bill served 25 years in the US Army, retiring in 1984. He then became a financial advisor, serving military families. In 1983 Bill married Jean Orlowski in Hawaii, where they lived until 1996. "Really retiring" brought them to Tucson, to SaddleBrooke. Bill loved golf, traveling, RVing, classic cars (he owned a 1982 DeLorean), and especially his family and friends. He was a member of SaddleBrooke RV Club, PT Cruiser Club, Elks, Shriners, SaddleBrooke Golf Club and Southern Arizona Senior Golf Club. Bill overcame many obstacles, including polio as a child. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Jean; daughters, Brandi (Rob), Tamara (Eddie); stepsons, Phil (Jamie), Neil; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and his dog, Teddy. Bill's strength of character and positive attitude were an inspiration to all who knew him and he will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 11575 N. 1st Ave., (south of Tangerine Rd.), with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Resurrection Lutheran Church in Bill's name for a scholarship to FLIM (Future Leader In Ministry) for a future divinity student.
