Funeral Services were held Monday for Jackson Hartford WOOSTER. Mr. WOOSTER died Saturday at Ochiltree General Hospital.
Mr. WOOSTER was born September 26, 1920 in Houston, the son of W. B. and Gladys WOOSTER. He grew up near Alvin and graduated from high school there in 1938.
He was married to Claudine GEORGE on August 22, 1941 in the Little Church of the Flowers in Glendale, California. They made their home six miles northwest of Perryton. He was a veteran of World War II.
A farmer, he owned land in Ochiltree, Hartley, and Moore counties. He also was a co-owner of the Panhandle Implement Co.
Jack WOOSTER became a Christian at an early age and served on the board of trustees of the People's Chapel. He was on the board of elders and had been a Gideon for many years. He also was a member of the Kiwanis Club.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the People's Chapel. Rev. Gib Clark, Coldwater, Kansas, and Rev. Chuck Boyle, pastor of the People's Chapel, officiated. Burial was in Ochiltree Cemetery, under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Service.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Kenneth; two grandchildren, Bradley and Heather WOOSTER; and a sister, Vera Mae WILLS of Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
