LEAH E. COLLINS, 94
Former Bluffton resident and piano teacher Leah E. Collins, 94 died at 2:25 a.m. Thursday at Marion General Hospital.
Born April 6, 1901 near Poneto, she was the daughter of Frank and E. Prudence Wells Nusbaumer. She married Nelson Todd Collins who died January 18, 1979.
She was a homemaker and lived in rural Marion for the past 63 years. She was also a member of the Van Buren United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Marvin K. Collins of Van Buren, Franklin M. Collins of Marion and Bennie J. Collins of Fairmount; four daughters, Mildred Israel of Muncie and Emily Cole, Elizabeth Millican and Corine Collins, all of Marion, 26 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ferguson Funeral Home, 201 West Main Street Van Buren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Richard Covert and Rev. John Pattison officiating.
Burial will be at Grove Cemetery in Poneto.
