Birdie D Burkett was born in Indian Territory, now the State of Oklahoma, 3 Feb. 1903 to Lula M Harmon and Samuel B Burkett. Her mother died in 1904 shortly after giving birth to a sister Mamie L Burkett. Birdie was raised by relatives, and in adult life married Felix Henry Branski. She died at an early age of 44 and is buried along with her parents and siblings in the community of Whitebead in Garvin County Oklahoma.
