Mrs. Katie A. Street Brown, age 77, of Tazewell, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2009 in a Bristol, Tennessee hospital.
She was born in Rowe, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Tolbert and Katherine Keen Street.
She had made her home in the Buchanan and Tazewell County areas all of her life and was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Brown; four sisters, Cleo Richardson, Mildred Kiser, Juanita Street, and Maebelle Street; and four brothers, Roger, Grayson, Ervin, and Glenn Street.

Funeral services for Katie A. Brown will be conducted Friday, September 11, 2009 at 12:00pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Ancil Childress and Rev. Jody Breeding officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Cody Clevinger, Chris Looney, Jeremy Ratliff, Tom Woody, Darryl Kiser, Larry Street, Jr., and Mike Richardson. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Joshua Looney, Matthew Allison, Austin Anderson, Zachary Brown, Dalton Stacy, Mickey Stacy, and Dalton Stiltner.
