Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Jane Cotton, 78, of 1838 North Thirty-fifth street, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Moran & Sons’ funeral home, with burial in Mt. Gilead cemetery.
Mrs. Cotton died at 9 o’clock last night in her home after a week’s illness. She was born in Knoxville, Ky., June 20, 1865.
She leaves the following children, Lewis Bledsaw, William Bledsaw and Thomas Bledsaw, Decatur, Allen Bledsaw, Hillsboro, Arthur Cotton, Hillsboro, Frank and Homer Cotton, of Decatur. There is a brother, William Owens, of Decatur, and a sister, Mrs. Eliza Flowers of Paris, in addition to 28 grand-children.
Mrs. Cotton had lived in Decatur for 30 years, coming here from Martinsville, Ill. She was a member of the Nazarene church.
