MSGT. HOMER ROADES, SR. USAF RET., 85, passed away January 2, 2008. He is preceded in death by his wife Emma Nell Roades and his parents Clarence and Ruth Roades. He is survived by his wife Nancy Roades of South Houston; daughters and sons-in-law: Billie and Millard Breckel of Angleton, Margaret and Argyle McLachlan of Houston, Carla and Scott McDonald of Deer Park; son and daughter-in-law: Dusty and Dana Roades of Deer Park; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 4 stepchildren.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of South Houston, Lion's Club International, VFW, American Legion, former City Councilman for South Houston, and an honorary member of South Houston Volunteer Fire Department. He proudly served his country in WWII, retired from the USAF after 25 years of service, and went on to work many years at Ford Aerospace.

The Visitation will be held Monday, January 7, 2008, at First Baptist Church of South Houston from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of South Houston. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church of South Houston.
