The funeral for Andrew Jackson "Andy" Rodeffer, 101, of Weyers Cave will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew's United Church of Christ in Weyers Cave. The Rev. Jerry Smith will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Melanchthon Chapel Cemetery near Weyers Cave.

Mr. Rodeffer died Jan. 18, 1994, at the home of his daughter, Ellen Comer, in Weyers Cave, which was the same day his sister, Lena Bailey, 103, was buried in Staunton.

He was born Nov. 11, 1892, in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Samuel and Mary Gilkerson Rodeffer.

He was a member of the St. Andrews United Church of Christ and an honorary member of the Weyers Cave Fire Department. He was a retired farmer and had also worked for the Weyers Cave Milling Co.

His wife, Frances Rodeffer, preceded him in death.

Surviving are another daughter, Virginia McDonaldson of Weyers Cave; a sister, Ollie May Breeden of Camelot Hall Nursing Home in Harrisonburg; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 10-11 a.m. Friday at the St. Andrew's United Church of Christ.

Friends may also call at the Long Funeral Home on Va. 276 east of Mount Crawford.
