75, loving husband of Susan passed away on Aug 31, 2009. Jim was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Rev. George M. Flikkema and Clarice Smith. Jim joined the USMC in 1952. He enjoyed reading, writing poetry, and watching old movies. Jim is survived by his wife of almost 30 years Susan Meyers Flikkema; two neices, Mary Louise, and Ruthie; and two cats Booters, and Katie. Services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 at 12:30 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix.
