Rev. Richard Massaro will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, from the Libbey Funeral Home, with interment in Itasca Cemetery and military honors provided by the American Legion and VFW. Mr. Tweet entered military service in 1946 and was stationed in Germany for 12 years, served in Vietnam and was awarded the Air medal and the Army Commendation medal for meritorious service. He retired from active Army duty in 1970.
Survivors are his wife, Ilse; a daughter, Bettina Tweet of Grand Rapids; his mother, Hilda Tweet, Grand Rapids; a brother, Gilbert Tweet, Grand Rapids; a sister, Adeline Roy; and several nieces and nephews.
