Son of William Bacchus and Mary Swiger.

Jane Wagner Honse has updated me with this location correction. As we can not add an entry for this unnamed burial location, we're just noting the details here for others:

Sanford Backues, husband of Mary Ann Ireland Backues is not buried in Pilot Knob Cemetery. He and his son in law, Barnabus Madison Poe were buried on Sanford's land in Rich Fountain. It was supposed to have been a deeded off cemetery but the headstones have alledgedly been removed by the present owner and a milk barn built on top of the cemetery.

Also from contributor Rob Keeney:

Sanford's farm was located in Township 42N, Range 8W, Southeast Quarter. Expect this is the location of the lost cemetery that flooded.

Five of Sanford and Mary's seven children married Keeneys, children of Michael Keeney.
