He was born Sept. 16, 1916, in Bloomington, to the late Roy Hix and Mathilde Riemenschneider Wyscarver. He was a veteran of WWII, graduate of Victoria Junior College and Texas A&I University, a barber, a professional educator and former secretary for the Texas Barbers Association. He was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church.
Survivors: wife, Helen Braun Wyscarver; daughter, Mary Wyscarver of Victoria; stepdaughter, Leslee Lee of Victoria; sons, John Wyscarver of Houston and Roy Wyscarver of Washington; sister, Margaret Walter of Fort Lupton, Colo.; brother, Norman Wyscarver of Houston; and six grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: first wife, Clematis Taylor Wyscarver.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. tonight at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Our Saviours Lutheran Church, the Rev. John Waak officiating.
