Mr. Howard B. Elliott, age 76, died Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at Loris Community Hospital following an illness. Born Oct. 24, 1931 in Loris, he was the widower of Mrs. Leta Vernice Faulk Elliott, and the son of the late Mr. Charlie Elliott and Mrs. Dora Elliott.
Mr. Elliott retired as Crew Leader for the City of Loris's Street Dept., and always said he thoroughly loved working with the citizens, business owners and other Loris City employees.
Survivors include two daughters: Linda Fowler and husband Wendell of Loris, and Dianne Rabon and husband Joe of Thomasville, NC: three grandchildren: Amanda G. Hawley and husband Keith of Longs, SC, Tracy Rabon of Thomasville, NC, and Jeremy Rabon and wife Sherry of Thomasville, NC; three great-grandchildren: Taylor N. Causey of Loris, Ethan and Chase Rabon both of Thomasville, NC, and many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Elliott was predeceased by his thirteen brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were Saturday November 17 at 2:00PM at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with committal services following in the Cane Branch Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Nobles officiated services. Visitation was Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00PM at Hardwick Funeral Home. Services directed by Hardwick Funeral Home of Loris, SC. 843-756-7001
