Harry Gilbert Day Died In Kansas
Three Sisters of Deceased Live At Nottingham- Body Returned For Burial.
Harry Gilbert Day, son of Jesse Day, of east Montpelier, and former resident of this community, died Sunday at the St. Joe Hospital, in Eldorado, Kansas, according to a telegram received by his sister, Mrs. Maude Buckmaster of Montpelier. His death was due to after effects of diphtheria. Mr. Day owned and has been operating a string of drilling tools in the oil field near Eldorado.
He was one of a family of fourteen children, the mother and one sister, Florence, having proceeded him in death. Surviving besides the father, is the wife, Harriet Martin Day, two sons, a daughter, eight sisters, and four brothers, as follows: Mrs. Ella Kingen, Geneva, Ind.; Mrs. Myrtle Brittenham, Kansas; Orther Wehton Day, Kansas; Mrs. Alice Miller, Muncie; Mrs. Charles Dolby, Illinois; Mrs. Ida Havens, Nottingham; Mrs. Grace Morrical, Nottingham; Charles Day, Montpelier; Ralph Day, Kansas; Earl Day, Kansas; Mrs. Maude Buckmaster, of Montpelier, and Fred Day, Illinois.
The body was returned to Montpelier for burial.
