Linda passed away unexpectedly on June 1, 2009 due to complications stemming from pneumonia at Saint Mary's Hospital, CICU. Linda K. Belvin was 54 years old, born October 8, 1954 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Henry and Helen Belvin.

Linda loved her son, Jorell and her new grandbaby, Audrina and her beloved family. Linda loved shopping, music, old movies and attending musical concerts. She was a loyal friend and co-worker and spent countless hours with her mother since her fathers' passing. She worked for Washoe County Health Department for five years. She relocated briefly to Las Vegas and Los Angeles, but because of her love of family, she returned home to Reno in 1980. In 1991 she changed careers into the casino industry and started working for The Reno Hilton/MGM Grand for 18 years, now known as The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino.

Linda is survived by her son, Jorell L.Hunt; mother, Helen Belvin; brothers, Vearl (Sonny) Belvin and Terry Belvin; sisters, Tena Belvin-Craighead, Marie Richards-Patterson and Rochelle Belvin-Brown; God-sister,Vera McGinnis- Washington; many brothers and sister-in-love, nieces, nephews, loved ones and family friends.

A public visitation is scheduled for Monday June 8, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at O'Brien Rogers & Crosby, 600 W. Second Street, Reno, NV. A service is scheduled on Tuesday June 9, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church, 1265 Montello Street, Reno, NV.
