He enlisted into the Navy in 1942 and was involved in the Pacific theater and discharged October 1945. He lived in Shafter, CA for 20 years where he owned and operated Ed's Equipment Co. and had resided in the Reno area for the last 30 years where he worked as a welder and metal fabricator. Ford was a member of the Reno V.F.W., I.O.F. and the Reno Christian Fellowship Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Golden Lovell; sister, Helen and wife, Eileen. He is survived by his daughters; Judy, Trudy, Sharon and Karen; son, Jim; brother, Jim; stepsons, Coy Tucker and Carl Treece; 6 granddaughters; 4 grandsons; and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2003, 10 AM to 12 PM, at the Walton's Sierra Chapel.A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, January 27, 2003, 10 AM at Walton's Sierra Chapel, 875 West Second Street, Reno, with interment to follow at the Sierra Memorial Gardens, 7969 N. Virginia, Reno.
