"Louise" was born July 4, 1914 in Dawson, North Dakota and passed away at home in Murrieta, California on November 15, 2008. Louise is survived by her 2 children John Wesley & Gary Lee Gwinn; 6 grandchildren Cynthia Lynn, Shannon Marie, Dana Lee, Jessee Raine, Maurie Lee, & Kaleigh Ree; 14 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and her sister Myrtle Frantz. She was a long-time resident of Murrieta, moving to the area over 52 years ago. Over the years she enjoyed many activities including camping, water skiing, horseback riding, gardening, swimming, fishing, "antique snooping", and even flying. Above all these things, her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her family. Louise always kept an open door policy for family and friends, and she knew no strangers. Louise was very active in 4H and the Murrieta Town Hall. She enjoyed many trips to Glenn Ivy, where she was lovingly known as "The Cookie Lady." She also was involved with the Murrieta Volunteer Fire Department; the Lake Elsinore Women's Club and was a very early member of the Murrieta United Methodist Church. Louise's family is going to miss her very strong and loving ways. She was also self-reliant, almost to a fault. She would often tell family "You can always find a helping hand at the end of you own arm." A viewing will be held on Sunday 11/23 from 1-3 p.m. at Evans Brown Sun City Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday 11/24 at 10:00 a.m. at the Murrieta United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Murrieta Cemetery.
