He was a son to Arthur "Curley" and Elva (Guiff) Betz. On Apr 3, 1959, he married Linda L. Myers, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are two sons, Richard (Teresa), Decatur, IN, and Steve (Tracy) Betz, Portland; a daughter, Marcie (Ron) Densmore, Bluffton; a brother, Leonard Betz, Portland; six granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
He retired from the former New Idea, Coldwater, after 47 years. He was a member of Portland Moose Lodge, Dunkirk Elks Lodge, Portland Eagles Lodge and Sons of the American Legion.
Services are at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, the Rev. Hugh Kelly officiating.
