Blossom was just the Sweetest Dog around. I was there for her when her Fur Mommy was in Labor and having trouble delivering her. I helped push her out, and from that Moment on I just knew She was gone to be Mine. From an early age She seemed to be Less Energetic then her Fur Mommy and She would go back to our Bedroom to Rest because there was less Light. We Lived in Mulberry Florida and We planned on moving to N.C. I couldn't wait to move because I would be retiring and I could be with Blossom 24/7. On the way up to North Carolina, I realized She was having Problems Walking.
We took her to the Vet in NC. and from there to Knoxville Tennessee to find out if She had an Ear Infection or a Brain Tumor. Needless to say it was a Brain Tumor. I prayed to the Lord to take it away but I knew the Day that She worsened that it was time to take her to the Asheville Animal Clinic to put her down. It has a way of laying a guilt trip on you and all I could do is cry. I was with Blossom when she was Born and with her when She died. I will never forget you Blossom. I heard someone say that there are Animals in Heaven and I know You're there waiting for us, After all Jesus will be coming back on a White Horse.

***************************

Sunlight streams through window pane onto a spot on the floor...

then I remember,

it's where you used to lie, but now you are no more.

Our feet walk down a hall of carpet, and muted echoes sound.....

then I remember,

it's where your paws would joyously abound.

A voice is heard along the road, and up beyond the hill,

then I remember,

it can't be yours..... your golden voice is still.

But I'll take that vacant spot of floor and empty muted hall,

and lay them with the absent voice and unused dish along the wall.

I'll wrap these treasured memories in a blanket of my love,

and keep them for my best friend until we meet above.
