Memorial services for Thomas Aber, 58, Bullard, are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with Mike Hardison officiating.

Tom passed away on Thursday, Aug. 20, in Tyler.

He was born Sept. 1, 1951, in Chicago, Ill., to Roy Thomas and Alma D. Campbell Aber.

He has lived in Tyler the past 27 years, moving here from Independence, Mo. He was a salesman for The Thrifty Nickel (now American Classified) and was a Christian.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jamie Aber; a son, Ian Aber of Columbia, Mo; daughters, Jodie Bedinghaus of Whitehouse and Tommie Jean Aber of Bullard; brothers, Rick Barnes of Mansfield, and Paul Barnes of Missouri; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler 75701.

Great Gma Birdie Jewel Filson is 1/4 Native Omaha Tribe, however his Gma Lola Jospehine Rogers has conflicting information from 1/8 to 1/32. So Thomas is either 1/32 or has a trace of Native Omaha Tribe.
