Mrs. Viola Smith Mrs. Viola Smith, age 74, died in a Greenville hospital, Saturday, Dec. 24. Surviving are the husband, Thomas W. Smith, Georgiana, Rt. 3; two daughters, Mrs. Claude Sirmon, Georgiana; Mrs. Fred Watson, McKenzie; two sons, W. J. Smith, McKenzie, L. C. Smith, Bolling; a sister, Mrs. W. I. Blackmon, Industry; three brothers, L. C. and E. C. Branum, both of Greenville; E. D.Branum, Georgiana; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday from Ebenezer East Baptist Churchwith the Rev. Ralph Mullins and the Rev. J. W. Joyner officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing. [hand dated 1955]
