He was born, Nov. 19, 1908, at Denning, he was the son of Herbert and Mary Cleeton Harger.
He was a retired employee of the Missouri Pacific Railroad and a member of the Van Buren First Baptist Church and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainers.
Survivors include his family, Hazelteen Mathis Harger, Wallace Ann Harger Swearingen, Greg Harger and Jeff Swearingen; four sisters, Duffa Crawford of Fort Smith, Louise Holle of Van Buren, Wanda Helm of Camdenton, Mo., and Mary Lutie Hilz of Falls Church, Va.
Funeral services were held at the Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Stanley Daniel officiating. Burial was in Gracelawn cemetery.
Pallbearers were Raymond Allen, Lewis Keifer, J.N. Kirkpatrick, Virgil Smith, Dr. Carl Williams, Dr. D. J. McMininy and members of the Paul Hurst Sunday school class and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainers.
