Mrs. E. B. Hendren died last week at Cline, this county. She died from cancer of the stomach. Death came rather suddenly. She was well as usual, until the cancer suddenly broke. She soon collapsed and did not rally afterwards. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Parks Gwaltney, and a large crowd attended.
She was the wife of Ex-Representative E. B. Hendren, was near 70 years old. She leaves a husband and five children living - all grown and married, except one. She was a member of the Baptist church and a most excellent woman, loved by all who knew her.

'We miss thee from our home
We miss thee from thy place
A shadow o'er our life is cast
We miss the sunshine of thy face.

We miss thy kind and willing hand
Thy fond earnest care
Our home is dark without thee
We miss thee every where.'
