Ruth I. Cooper, 67, of Gladwin, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 1983, in Gladwin Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born March 10, 1916, in Skeels, where she was a lifetime resident. She married Harry Cooper, March 1, 1933, in Skeels. He died Dec. 15, 1980. She was a member of the Skeels Baptist Church.
She leaves daughters, Mrs. Wesley (Dorothy) Abbott of Gladwin and Mrs. Arnold (Betty) Elwood of Saginaw; twin sons, Eldon Cooper of Gladwin and Allen Cooper at home; 11grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. A daughter, Maxine McMullen died Sept. 3, 1971.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Skeels Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Briggs officiating. Burial will be in Skeels Cemetery. Friends may call at the Mathews Funeral Home anytime after 7p.m. today.
