Gwindolene Nichols "Billie" Brite, age 77, of Rossville, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at her residence. Born in McMinn County, she had lived in the North Georgia area for the past 40 years. She was a member of the Boynton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Buckner and Azilee Hampton Cline; her first husband, Elmer Nichols, and 3 sisters and a brother. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Brite, Rossville; two sons, Terry W. Nichols, Peoria, AZ and Ernest Douglas Nichols, Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, four grandchildren, , and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Keith McLeod officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
