Donna Catherine Thorup Gibson passed away August ll, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born July ll,1929 to Lawrence Samuel Thorup and Essie Laura Casey in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from South High in 1947. She married Merlyn Rex Gibson June 20, 1947 in Evanston, Wyoming and they recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. They had previously lived in Phoenix, AZ and moved to Bountiful in 1960.

Donna was a homemaker and enjoyed many holiday outings and barbecues with her family. She was a Charter Member of the South Davis Garden Club.

She is survived by her husband; sons Glen (Linda) Gibson, Jack (Kim) Gibson, Paul Gibson; daughters Sharon (Wade) Bevans, Connie (Michael) Mitchell: son-in-law Edward Lusienski; fifteen grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters Bernice (Phil) Blackburn and Dorothy Mineer.

Preceded in death by her parents, two daughters Cassy Versteeg, Janice Lusienski, and her brother Jack Thorup.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, August l5, 2009 at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends and family may call Friday, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday prior to services from 10 to 10:45 am.
