Loving wife of Paul George Schmidt, mother to Paul George Jr. and Charles Richard Schmidt. Daughter of Rudolph John [Sr] and Katherine [Wickendrager] Eichenberger. Became a member of the Morning Light Chapter No. 80, Order of the Eastern Star at Warren, Ohio on February 5, 1945. Graduated high school at 16 and went to work as a stenographer at Iron Age Publishing Company.

Margaret Schmidt was born and raised in Ohio. During her 77 years of life she was a wife, the mother of two sons, a grandmother, and a sister. She and her husband Paul moved to San Jose in 1975 and soon after their arrival joined First Presbyterian Church of Milpitas. Margaret was known for her people-oriented graciousness. She was above all a giving person who never looked for anything in return. she was active in her church in Warren, Ohio, being involved in a number of ministries which focused on helping the needy and giving encouragement. During her recent illness she showed a marvelous spirit of courage and optimism with no self-pity. She and Paul shared 55 years of married life together - years in which love continued to grow with the passing of time. Margaret entered the Lord's presence on August 2nd.

Word has been received of the Saturday death of Mrs. Margaret Schmidt, 2151 Old Oakland Road, San Jose, Calif., formerly of Warren. Survivors include her husband, Paul Schmidt; two sons, Paul Jr. of Cincinnati, Charles in California; and two grandchildren. Services were Monday in San Jose.
