Iva Ree Martin, age 84, of Portland, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2006, at Highland Manor. She was born in Sumner County on January 14, 1922, to the late Charlie and Carrie Jones. Mrs. Martin was an active member of Portland First Baptist Church, and was retired from Links Corporation of Franklin, Ky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otey Martin, and brothers, Raymond and Roy Jones. She is survived by her son, Ronald Martin of Gallatin; granddaughter, Meridith (David) Doran of Portland; nephew, Charles Jones of Walnut Creek, Calif.; niece, Joanna Brizendine of Portland; sister-in-law, Jewell Jones of Portland. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Patton officiating. Interment will be at Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4 p.m., till 9 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be James Brizendine, Steven Brizendine, Anthony Brizendine, David Doran, Eudaldo "Dottie" Novelo, Lonnie Watkins and Galen Porter.
