Former Hart's Gas and Applicance owner and operator Noble Lee Hart, 84, of Mansfield died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at his residence.

His wife, Misao "Junko" Nagano Hart, survives. They were marred in Japan in 1960.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Barry Noble Hart will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memory Garden.

Chosen as pallbearers are Danny, David, Josh and Thomas Gene Hart, Jason Corbitt and Mike Lankford.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday.

Born in Buchanan on Nov. 29, 1924, he was a son of Bonnie Nix Hart and Marietta Walker Hart Sullivan, now both deceased.

As a young boy, Hart worked at Moody's Store on Hardy Street in Paris. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at age 16 and retired after 24 years. He was master gunnery sergeant, serving in World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He worked as a plumber, electrician and heating and air conditioning repairman while owning and operating Hart Gas & Appliance in Paris.

He also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends: Ernie and Elaine Aguayo of Newport, N.C.

He also was preceded in death by two sisters: Macie E. Ball and Dixie L. Picklesimer; and two brothers: Thomas B. and Walter E. Hart.
