STAUNTON - May Douglas (Cook) Jones, of 749 Lee Jackson Highway, died Thursday (Sept. 22, 2005) at Augusta Medical Center. She was born Oct. 6, 1921, at Swoope, to Harry Blair and Anna (Schaeffer) Cook.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander McCloud Jones Jr., and two brothers, Harry W. and Lester S. Cook. Survivors include a son, Gary D. Jones of Mint Spring; a sister, Christine Cook of Charlottesville; and a brother, Herman E. Cook of Staunton.
Burial will be at Thornrose Cemetery.
