SWOOPE -- Mrs. Anna Laura (Schaeffer) Cook, 68, wife of Harry Blair Cook, Rt. 1, Swoope, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday (June 20, 1967) in a nursing home after a long illness.
She was born in Fishersville, July 28, 1898, the daughter of Noah L. and Sarah Elizabeth (Croft) Schaeffer, and had lived her entire life in Augusta County. Mrs. Cook was a member of the Hebron Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alex M. Jones of Staunton and Miss Christine E. Cook of Charlottesville; three sons, Harry W. of Newport News, Herman E. and Lester S. Cook, both of Staunton; a sister, Mrs. T.N. Finch of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Allen C. Schaeffer of Nitro, W. Va., and eight grandchildren.
Burial will be in Thornrose Cemetery.
