Charles Floyd Hines, son of John Hines and Mary Elizabeth Morris, was born 3 Jul 1882 in Valparaiso, Porter Co., Indiana, and died 12 Jul 1947 in Wagoner, Wagoner Co., Oklahoma. He married Lolia Todd, d/o Edward A. Todd & Virginia C. Spaulding, in 1909 in Muskogee, Muskogee Co., Oklahoma. They had three children: Morris F. "Dutch", Jack L., and Paul Hines.

". . . Does the name Pelton mean anything to you? My grandmother, (Mrs. J.D. Morris) has told me that before the War - World War I - she and my mother use to visit our family (Pelton) in Kentucky. Also Nellie Morris visited the Hains (sic) family in Pine Bluff, Arkansas - they owned a Newspaper there." also the Ford family. A name [man] and his wife by the name of Floyd Hains from Oklahoma City came to see us in Kirkland - some where around 1920 - they were cousins. . . "
