ROCK MILLS, AL -- Services for Ida M. Burke Towler, 76, of Rock Mills were 2 p.m. Tuesday, 8 Jan 2002 at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Revs James Harper and Tommy Burke officiating. Burial was at Randolph Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Towler died Sunday, 6 Jan 2002 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.
A lifelong resident of Randolph County, AL, she was born 26 Nov 1924, daughter of Thomas and Carrie Veal Burke. She had been employed at Amoco Fabrics and Fibers and was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Pierce Towler.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Sheppard of Rock Mills, AL; two sons, Junior Towler and Jamie Towler, both of Rock Mills, AL; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chris Towler, Jeff Towler, Ben Towler, Brandon Hammett, Gary Burke and Calvin Burke.
Arrangements were by Quattlebaum Funeral Home in Roanoke, AL.
