John Fisher Sloan, son of Robert Sloan and Mary Ann Fisher, came to the U.S. with his father & mother in July, 1882. He was a carpenter, like his father Robert. He married Sarah Carson, also a native of Northern Ireland. Their children were John, b. 1889, and Stewart and Mary (twins) b. 1892. John died in 1915 in Brooklyn and was buried here. Sarah died in 1929 while visiting her son John in Georgia and is buried in Red Oak Cemetery in Fulton County. John was buried in The Evergreens cemetery in Brooklyn, on October 10, 1915, in grave # 17195, Bethel Slope section.
